a blogger girly

I grew up in Texas and we had standardized testing that was required every year before entering the next grade level. The test was divided into several days that tested skill level of different subjects such as reading, writing, math, science and history. Now, you need to know this before I go any further: I was not a brainy straight A student. I was more like an 'I'll do just enough to pass' type of student so obviously these standardized testing days were not my favorites of days. Regardless of my distain for scholarly activities, I was a people pleaser at heart (don't worry, we grew out of this) so I showed up and gave it my all. My first year to take the writing portion of the test, I got a perfect score on the essay. Someone read my story and liked what I had to say and the dream of becoming an author was born. Like most childhood dreams, they stayed that way.. in my little creative mind.

Okay, so, I'm in my 30s and not an author but I've thought about writing almost non stop since that day. I feel like I have more to say than I have people to listen. I recently made a pact with myself to start truly living and cultivating an intentional life full of things that fill me up in the best ways. Blogging seemed like the best way I could write and become a creative in a way that Little Tay would approve of. And a blog was born!

Hi- my name is Taylor but my friends call me Tay and this is The Sandy Sage. A full purpose media space that is all about sharing my intentional living lifestyle with you. I know on this internet planet, you are supposed to stick to one niche and die by that niche but that sounds incredibly boring and I'm way to broad for one thing so that is why I say "lifestyle". I love to cook and create plant based recipes so one day I may share a recipe. I'm a little woo-woo so I may share about grounding and putting your feet on the earth to start your day. I may give you tips on how to throw a killer party or I may just write about my life and experiences. I'll share on a verity of platforms such as this blog, my youtube channel, tiktok, instagram and pinterest. Whichever way you like to be reached, I'll meet you there. One thing I can always promise you is that I will stay organic and true to my core. I'll never talk about or share anything that I don't believe in or don't do/ use myself. I value connectivity and relationship and can't wait to get to know ya'll in this place. I can't wait for you guys to get to know me in this way.
